Dog Lamp gets turned on by your petting

Just like man's best friend, this Dog Lamp will faithfully sit wherever you happen to place it, ready to illuminate a room at a touch from your hand. Instead of flicking a switch, you pat the lamp's touch-sensitive surface at the top of the Dog Lamp's shade-head. Each successive pat with turn the lamp on, scale through different levels of light, and turn it off.
The lamp's body is made out of acrylic and it uses a 40-watt bulb, but, as it's from Europe, you might need an adapter if you want to plug it in over here. There's another thing not so friendly about this hound, the price: $150.[via]
