L’arbre de Flonville
Samuel Wilkinson in collaboration with Swiss designers Oloom created the L'arbre de Flonville. This design is in the form of a metal tree, created to provide shade to those who sit under it on benches which resemble the roots of the metal tree. The tree is located in a public square in the new Flon quarter in Lausanne , Switzerland.

I remember as a child, I used to love going to the library. Checking out books was a fun Saturday afternoon memory. Now, in the age of technology, and the internet, the library is losing its' luster as people search for their knowledge on the net. However, in Singapore, the Bishan Community Library still entices both young and old to pass through its' doors every chance they get.

The new expansion to the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco, California is almost complete. Architect Daniel Libeskind's design is based on two symbolic Hebrew words of the «chet» and the «yud». Made from Blue steel, the extension to the Museum should be completed in June of 2008. The structure will allow space for visual, media and performing arts, as well as 3500 sq. ft of space for educational purposes.

The New Hamburg Science Center and Aquarium Design
The Office for Metropolitan Art (OMA) has just revealed their final design for the New Hamburg Science Center and Aquarium. The structure, which will be 23000 meters square of space, will house a science centre, aquarium, theatre, offices, laboratories as well as commercial and retail facilities. The structural design consists of 10 interconnecting blocks that will form the shape of a ring. Not only is the design of the structure trying to encourage new structural forms, but also as being a leader in adapting new environmental technologies included in its' construction.
