'flow 5.0' by studio roosegaarde

flow 5.0' by  studio roosegaarde, 2007daan roosegaarde is an artist from rotterdam, netherlands whose work explores the interaction between humans
and technology. daan let us know about his recent exhibition of 'flow 5.0' in ljubljana, slovenia. the interactive piece consists of a10 metre long grid made from hundreds of small fans that come to life with sound and movement created by the viewers. the fans react by creating an artificial breeze in the environment. this installation is latest version from the flow series. the previous incarnation was a light display inside of a rotterdam walking tunnel.
'flow 4.1' reacted to the viewers motion and sound producing an led light show.

'robber baron' by studio job

studio job displayed their new 'robber baron' collection through moss during design miami 2007. the series is a
collection of functional furniture pieces cast in bronze, commissioned by murray moss. they are inspired by
'tales of power, corruption, art and industry' all featuring strong gold and black elements. within the fist hour of
the show, a set of pieces were sold to a private collector for 700,000 USD.

singapore president s.r. nathan founded the president's design award to recognize the most outstanding design
work in singapore in 2005. the second annual awards were given out during the 2007 singapore design festival on
november 27. this year's award ceremony was held at singapore's concert hall of the esplanade. the winners
were later exhibited at city hall from november 28 - december 8.
